I didn't plan on drinking at all at Timmy's show, but free champagne and $2 Irish Car Bombs changed that. But at least I didn't get wasted like last year. Even though I was sober when I got back home around 3:00 am, I decided not to sleep because my flight left Milwaukee at 6:10 am, and I had planned to leave for the airport around 4:30 am. If I went to sleep, there was no way that I was going to wake up in time to leave, so I toughed it out and pulled an all nighter. Luckily Coach Bombay sleeps all day long, so he was able to stay awake with me all night long and keep me awake. It's nice to have an ally in the fight against slumber, and the two of us with continue the fight as long as we have to.

When I bought my flights back in September, the Frontier flight that connected through Denver was about $50 cheaper than anything else, so naturally I took that flight. I would have preferred a nonstop flight, but Denver isn't a terrible place to connect through. As you may or may not know, I've spent some time in the Denver Airport, and although it's been a few years, it's just as cool as I remember it.

I first cased the hotel property to orient myself, then I hung out with the Bpong staff for a little while. And then I ran into Hummel and Sarah in the hotel lobby, so we went over to O'Shea's to play some beer pong.

When I arrived in Las Vegas, it was about 9:00 am, so I had a few hours before I could check into my hotel. I decided to head over to the strip right away, so I took a shuttle bus. I remembered that my company operates a shuttle bus service (Showtime Tours) and asked if I got any kind of discount. I showed my ID and got a free ride to my hotel. About time my company did something for me.

I chose to sit at the ass end of the bus, and although I was the last one who boarded, I was the first person dropped off at their hotel. So I had plenty of time to kill before I was allowed to check into my room at the Flamingo.

O'Shea's is a nice little Irish themed casino that is tucked into the strip next to the Flamingo. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the larger baller casinos, but it's the kind of place that I hang out in Vegas cause it reminds me of the casinos back home. They say that the odds are better at these smaller ones, but I didn't come here for the gambling, I cane her for the beer pong. They always have tables set up, and the beer is relatively cheap. It was there that I ran into my friend Jim, who along with others, run the Drunken Bear beer pong tournaments down in Chicago. We decided to challenge these dudes to a game of beer pong to show them that the Midwest dominates this sport.
