World Series of Beer Pong 5 - Day 3

Although none of us made the playoffs on Day 3, we still went over there to check things out. We talked to a couple of friends to see how they were doing, but to be honest with you I had no interest in sticking around to watch these final games. Nor did I care who won the $50,000 grand prize. I just knew that it wouldn't be me.

I think that the Main Street Station Casino Brewery in Downtown is my favorite place in all of Las Vegas. I stop here almost every time that I'm in Las Vegas because they have some of the best beer I have ever had in my life. And it's usually pretty cheap too. I wish that I could get their High Roller Gold and Royal Red Lager here in Wisconsin, but maybe the beer just tastes that much better because I can't. Kind of like my theory about In 'N' Out Burger. We didn't get to Downtown until 4 pm, but that still gave us plenty of time to goof around. This was Las Vegas after all. It's not like all the action stops when the sun goes down. Little did I know the fun and action was just beginning...

As far as I am am concerned, the La Bayou casino is the best one in all the world. It's also one of the smallest in the world. There was just enough room for 4 rows (1 against each wall and 2 in the middle aisle) of slot machines with no table games. But they have 26 flavors of daiquiris and the nicest drink girls I've ever met. Brodey and I sat down and played these penny slots where the penguins appear randomly and cause havoc. You never know what's going on and it's crazy exciting. The waitress Karma could see the future or something and brought us new full Seagram's 7 and 7's before our old ones were empty. With the $1 daiquiris and endless 7 and 7's, I went from drunk to wasted.

Karma was that rare combination of hot, cute and nice. Booze could have affected my perception (or she could have just been being nice to me because I was tipping) but I should have stayed there with her. But instead Brodey and I went outside to watch the Fremont Street experience. And we brought our multiple drinks with us.

I should have never left La Bayou. And I should have never left Karma. True to her name, I experienced "an action, seen as bringing upon oneself inevitable results, good or bad, either in this life or in a reincarnation" when I left her. And the results were immediate and bad. I certainly got what was coming to me.

I've only seen the Freemont Street light show a few times, but it seems like every time that I have, it was playing George Thorogood's "Bad to the Bone." Which is why I was looking at the camera and not at the overhanging LCD display. But I don't know what Brodey was doing. I know that he is a professional drinking, but as you saw in the previous day's pictures, he's one skinny bastard. And he was going drink for drink with me. And if I was wasted, I can't imagine what was going on in Brodeyland. Now if only his thoughts could be projected onto the screen in the sky. That would be a show definitely worth sticking around for multiple viewings.

I was trying to juggle my 3 drinks and still pay attention to my surroundings. Since I am a chocoholic but for booze, I paid more attention to the beverages and lost track of what was going on.

Brodey is always coming up with great ideas. Like at this moment he decided to drink his daiquiri at the same time as his 7 and 7. And I know that it tasted glorious because Brodey has good ideas.

You can say whatever you want about me not being around for the final games, but I wasn't the only one who simply didn't care. Brodey and Casey joined Kanz and I in the room to pass around the weeping bottle (of Jameson) and reflect on the good ol' days. But that soon ended because we were heading Downtown for some fun.
