Afterglow 2013 - Day 2 Sunday

I love throwing the frisbee around. There aren't many things that I like more. I don't really excel at any kind of physical activity, but if there is one thing that I do well it's this - I throw a mean disc. Jenny and I were going to go up to KK to throw the disc around and we must have invited Mom, Aunt Sandy and Stacy to join us. For the next half hour or so we ran around like a bunch of kids and had a really great time with something so simple. It didn't even matter that Jenny and I were pros and everyone else were a bunch of newbies. Nothing matters at Afterglow. Time slows down up here and we live in the moment. This moment we were having fun.

That's pretty much all that happened during the daylight hours today. Or maybe more happened and I didn't take any pictures. Who knows man. It's been like 6 months months since it happened, so lay off me pal. I don't get paid enough to remember things. I can't even afford a historian to remember them for me. So while I worry about that, check out these sweet nature pictures my Mother took. She has an eye for these things.

One of my proudest moments in life is when I taught Jenny Reck how to properly throw a frisbee with incredible velocity and precision. We can stand across from each other in a small field and toss the disc back and forth to each other without moving our feet. Of course every now and then there is an errant throw, but for the most part we're pretty accurate. I like to surround myself with professionals that I can trust.

I call Stacy "College Girl" and give her a hard time about everything. She's real smart and can figure things out but she was unable to perfect the art of frisbee toss. You would think that she would be able to apply physics, mathematics and some kind of science to this problem and solve for X. She was average. I'll give her that. But she better study. Average does not get you on the Dean's List little lady. Hit the books pal. NOW!

I graduated with a Major in Frisbee with a Minor in Performance Arts and a Specialization in Style and Technique. That's just a fancy way for saying that I excel at throwing a frisbee, I can throw it many different ways and I look good while doing it. Well that good. Let's not kid ourselves here. I look a complete fool while attempting any kind of physical activity. That's how I got this way. Sad but true.

Afterglow is great. Everything that we do up here is amplified by 11 because of the people involved. I don't care if it is something boring like sitting in the cabin or something fun like tossing the disc around; everything is awesome up here. I had a great time playing frisbee with Mom, Aunt Sandy, Stacy and Jenny and I know that they loved it too. My family is the best. They make life worth living.
