Afterglow 2002 - The Obstacle Course, more difficult this year thanks to the limitations of modern technology.

James and Stacy on the little cart thingy. Must have been fun. I wouldn't know...

A beautiful summer day, that unfortunately does not feature a strong supporting cast of swimmers, boaters, or animals. Hmm... where did they all go?

I apologize for only having like 5 pictures of the obstacle course, my batteries and my camera were not working very well that morning, so this is what you get. At least no you don't have to be reminded of my poor showing in the tug of war, as I only have the memory to prove my loss. There's always next year, and you can bet I'll be ready. And I'm coming to get you all for sure.

The final stretch, in which I almost killed myself when I leapt for the finish line. You know the saying the bigger they are, the harder they fall? Trust me, it's true.

Everyone sitting and waiting for the water balloon toss to begin. My team did not catch a single balloon, making it difficult for us to compete.

Me giving my team mates some last minute advice in the art of one-legged sack hopping, being the expert of course.

Dale (left picture) giving BJ (pronounced Beege) some last minute fatherly advice before a good ol' dip in the lake. What a great parent. Wish he was mine. Bet he wishes I was his son.

James (picture below) with a kung fu grip on his money, en route to the casino in Watersmeet, Upper Michigan. We went with my Grandma, and I won some good money thanks to her.

Me team kicking butt on the water-bucket- sponge-fill-up game. Ok, I lied. My team wishing we were kicking butt in this thing.
