Most people know that the Marvel comic book hero Daredevil is called the "man without fear", but they never counted on Matt Murdock sharing that title with our very own Mike Bates. Mike took us down an old dirt trail, which he claimed was a shortcut back to the freeway. I've never been here before, so I trusted Mike to lead us through unscathed. I was in awe of his fearless backwoods driving. He appeared to be driving at a reckless 50 MPH, kicking up dirt behind us, but in reality, Mike was just driving a very safe and controlled 50 MPH on a road he knew all too well. |
