Grand Canyon - Day, well, sort of..

Remember that little song they did on Sesame Street, where they tried to figure out which one was different than the other? That's what I was thinking - I hate Elmo. But that is beside the point. Why doesn't this cactus go and hibernate like all the little cacti do this time of year? Why does this have to be a non-conforming cacti? Why doesn't it just assimilate itself into the proper mode and behavior of a normal cactus. Jeez, cacti these days...

Despite my appearance in these pictures, I'm having a good time... not. I'm just playing. The blowing wind and snow was a little too much for my eyes to handle, so I had to squint like an old man trying to read the funnies without his trifocals.

Well, this is basically all we could see. I don't know whether that was cool or not, but it did offer me a different perspective on the whole canyon thing. I did visit the North Rim back in August, and I guess the South Rim is supposed to be so much cooler. I can't be the judge as of yet, cause how can you judge the  Rim whilst it is covered in snow, with winds kicking it up so that this was all you could see? The snow did make it look beautiful, but I' like to go back someday, when it's warm and not as foggy.

A group shot, courtesy of the greatest invention since Velcro, the self-timer. Without it, the world wouldn't have 75% of the magnificent photos on this here web page. I have yet to determine whether that is good or bad.

Mom doing the "holla" pose at the Canyon. That or Jesus on the cross, a swan dive, the letter T, or just ol' goofy mom.
