Afterglow 2007 - Day 3 Monday |
This is a dream come true for the majority of people in our Afterglow gang - a smorgasbord of good eats as random as they are tasty. It's always a struggle to get a top spot in line because it is in our best interest to get a little bit of everything as soon as possible so that we can go back and grab a bit more of the stuff that we like the best. |
Kevin always has a mischievous look hiding behind his eyes, but it is very rare that I am able to capture it on "film" and show it off to the general public. Now that you have seen it, what do you think? I invite you to weigh in with your opinions. If you're a regular, you know how to reach me. I'm expecting a response from you. |
After dinner, we played a little volleyball. After volleyball, we played a little horseshoes. This game was a bit of a grudge match for Brian and Kevin, as they lost to us last year. They felt like they needed to prove that they have grown over the last year. |
Gail made it mandatory for all families/cabins to stand on the stairs and pose for a picture prior to chowing down at the pot-luck dinner. This is one of those things that I thought was a great idea, because it gave us a chance to get together and take a group picture. Uncle Gary was present for the good food, so he joined in on our picture, and we were more than happy to have him there. His presence made our silly group that much sillier, and as a family, we welcome that. And speaking of silliness - check out Faith. I mean come on! Can she ever look nice and proper for a picture? Out of all the things that Janelle and James have taught her over the years, couldn't there teach her how to be cordial while someone is taking a snapshot? As her soon to be Uncle, I'm making it my goal to teacher her how to save the silliness for the silly pictures and to look proper for the proper pictures. Besides, I'm sure that James and Janelle don't want Faith looking like this in the wedding photographs. By the time that I am done, I will have done a great service to society. |
Brian got caught with some food in his mouth with a look on his face that could only resemble some kind of fish. I suppose if you dangled some sort of candy on a hook in front of him, he'd go for it and you'd be able to reel him in and show him off to your friends. |
