Iceman Celebration Day 2016 - Eastlake, OH Hotel Rage
When I checked in to the hotel and got my stuff into the room, I immediately changed into my swimsuit and proceeded to the pool to do some cannonballs. It was a Monday afternoon. What else was I supposed to do? This is what normal people do when they go to hotels, right? Wait... you mean that normal people don't do this? Well there goes my shot at being normal. Not like I ever had one... Everyone shouts out "JUMANJI!!!!" before they do a cannonball into a pool, right? You mean that it's just me who does that and multiple cannonballs using the self timer function on the camera in order to get enough sequential photos to post for the viewing pleasure of their non-existent audience? I thought everyone did that. Wouldn't be the first time that I was wrong.

The drive out of Cooperstown was just as good as the drive in. When I take a roadtrip I try to avoid interstate highways and try to take small roads that let me sit back and enjoy the quiet serenity that is out there waiting for you if you just allow it to be part of your journey. I knew that I made the right decision with my choices.

It was Monday morning, which meant the weekend fun would normally be over and the work week would begin. But there was nothing normal about anything that has happened over the past few days. I took off of work through Tuesday, which now was a great idea because from here it would take me 15 hours to get back home. That's a lot to do in one day, so today I decided to drive halfway and stay near Cleveland in Ohio (more on that later). But first I needed to check out of the Mohican Motel and start my journey back West.

Say what you will about motels, but they can be a fabulous place to murder somebody at a discounted nightly rate. But the Mohican Motel gave me exactly what I needed to enjoy my time in this amazing town. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Cooperstown. They've been murder free since '93!

I think I stayed at the Econo Lodge but I don't have the data to back that up. You would think that my tweets and photos would be geotagged so that I could figure it out, but I don't have the time or patience to verify that. But here's a king bed in my hotel room.

I stopped at a rest stop mostly to take a pee, but also to get a glimpse of Lake Erie. I promise you that is her beyond those fields of whatever that shit is. I even stood up on a picnic table in order to see it better, so trust me when I say that she is there.

Thanks to modern technology, I was able to slow this video down so that you could see the amazing athleticism, precision and technique that goes into creating a cannonball. You're welcome. But I also let you see my half-naked body. And for that I need to apologize. No one should have to see that without receiving a sizeable monetary stipend for their pain and suffering (not to mention the trauma that will follow them for the rest of their living days). But I'm really just a child at heart. One that doesn't care what you think, swims unsupervised and gets water all over the walls, windows and ceiling. I was having such a good time here that I forgot the real reason I was here was to go to a Lake County Captains game (Single A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians).
