Christmas California Adventure (17)

In order to make the ride more fun, I shared a cart with Jenny. Mom got Tim, and Kelly got Tyler. I think we were all pleased with our selections.

One thing I forgot to mention - in line to go into the Haunted mansion (which was like 1 hour long), there was this guy entertaining the crowd. He was painted white like Beetlejuice, and wore raggy clothes like he was dead. He was telling jokes, singing songs, and heckling the crowd. Jenny and I decided to a bit of heckling ourselves. We started out singing along with the Nightmare Before Christmas songs, but singing them really really loud. We turned to us and made some weird comments. Then he asked "how is everyone enjoying Disneyland?" I screamed out "boo!!!" He was like "Boo? Why are you booing? You're at the front of the line." He actually had a few funny things to say. Jenny and I continued to make random comments, and he asked us if we had been drinking. That guy is alright in my book.

I couldn't get many pictures inside, cause the flash needed to be turned off. If you've ever seen the Nightmare Before Christmas, you can only imagine how crazy it was inside that place.

About halfway through, the ride stopped, which my family members blamed on me. The had just cause to though, for I am notorious for stopping rides. In 1997,  we went to Disneyworld. Jenny, Timmy, and I went to Epcot, and we rode this ride called Horizons. I wanted to see what would happen if I lifted the restraining bar and escape while the ride was till moving. As soon as I pushed the bar up, the ride came to a halt and technicians went around to all the carts and made sure the restraints were in place. Jenny and Tim yelled at me cause the ride didn't move for like 5 minutes. But this time it wasn't me.

Tim peeked around from his cart to see if everything was all right back in ours, but Jenny and I were too busy making faces to care about the fact that we weren't moving. But I stopped long enough to grab a picture of Tim showing his concern for others. Then we resumed the show, and suddenly the cart started moving again.

If you've ever been on the Haunted Mansion ride, then this one will make sense to you. Right near the end, a spooky voice comes on the speaker in your cart, and says something like be wary, an unwanted guest may join you. Then an image shows up next to you in the mirror directly across from you. It's cool cause it is a holographic projection of a ghost or something. Jenny and I got this oversized skull, and we both tried to take a picture of it. It was quite spooky, but we both laughed so hard because oversized skulls are quite funny.
