I didn't mention this before, but I had lost my digital camera somewhere around the Reck Family Christmas Party (early June) and didn't find it until late summer. Right before Afterglow I bought a new one, but for this trip I borrowed my Mom's Cannon camera. Her camera is 8 megapixels and has a 10x optical zoom, which allowed me to take these close-up pictures of Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun despite sitting what seemed like 3 miles away from them. This allowed me to feel more involved with the game, which helped make up for the bad seats.

I just noticed now while viewing this picture that there were some hotties sitting behind me. Too bad I care so much about Brewers baseball that everything else takes a backseat to the action on the field. Maybe that's why I've been single all these years...

In this picture, it looks like you would need binoculars or a sniper scope on a rifle to see the game, but honestly it wasn't that bad. You got a nice birds eye view of the action, which made it difficult to see balls and strikes but it allowed you to see the entire action.

Ford Field (where the Detroit Lions play... well I guess you can call it professional football but so far I'm not convinced) is right across the street from Comerica Park. So at least there were 2 sports venues that claimed to house professional sports teams in the area. I didn't really see either of them with my own eyes because my eyes weren't working too well after all that whisky. There's a couple of bars in the area as well, which is where I pounded a few beers as you saw in the previous video. Say what you want about Detroit and the deterioration of the city, but I thought that at least this part of town was pretty sweet. I would consider coming back here for sure when the Packers play the Lions.

Oh Canada + Motown Madness - Brewers vs. Tigers in Detroit

This is my friend Scott Lorge. You might recognize him from other baseball trips and beer pong pictures on this site. He and Denise, Casey and Balkman went to the Cleveland series before this and then came here for this one. We were supposed to hang out, but since we missed the game last night, we were staying in Canada, they were in Detroit and they were leaving to go back home after this game. Given all these circumstances, this would be the only time that I would see them during this trip. That's pretty unusual, seeing as how I usually go with them on the baseball trips. We chatted for a bit before the game, then he went down to his seats on the field level. We made the long climb to the furthest reaches of the Upper Deck, settling in to the seats that were farthest away from the action to enjoy a day of baseball.
