I've already provided extensive coverage of this event in Pookon's Ill Blog, but I figured since both sites are interconnected, I might as well post this picture here for old times sake. September 28, 2008 was the Greatest Day of my Life, because on that day, the Milwaukee Brewers secured their 1st playoff berth in 26 years. I could think of no one better to share this moment with than my older brother James. Throughout the years, he has been with me in through the ups and the down, the highs and the lows, and the good and the bad. He's my go to guy on anything Brewers, and I always contact him anytime a little tremor rocks Brewers Nation. James and I have really bonded over this team, and I only hope that more good things come to this team in the future so that we have more things to discuss. Although the 2008 playoffs didn't necessarily end the way that I had wanted them to end, it was still a really fun roller coaster ride. 2008 was the next logical step from basement dweller (56 - 106 record in 2002) to contender (83 - 79 record in 2007) to playoff team (90 - 72 record in 2008), and it was by far the greatest baseball year of my life. I enjoyed every single game, but next year I want to go even deeper into the playoffs. It's just too bad that I have to wait a 7 more moths until the 2009 season begins. Just what am I to do with all of that time? By the grace of God (or by the power of Grayskull), I was granted October baseball, but it just wasn't enough to wet my whistle. I am consumed. I want some more. I want it all, and I want it now. But unfortunately I have to wait until 2009 for more Brewers baseball.
