Afterglow RFT VI: Styx - New Richmond

It was approaching the witching hour/night time, I checked in with the deceased in the graveyard across the street to see if they were up for a game of Ghosts in the Graveyard. Sadly, they still weren't up for it. I'd say next time, but there would be no next time.
My Dad is kind of a hoarder in the fact that he never throws anything away. For as many times as he has moved since my parents divorced in 2002 (which has to be close to a dozen times), you would think he would have thrown some stuff out or at least stopped accumulating more stuff. So moving his stuff to a storage unit took way longer than expected (and he even needed to rent out a second unit). I made the most out of it by drinking beers, listening to funk and coming up with get rich schemes. I found this old slot machine and I wanted to take it, install it at my home and invite suckers over to play. They put money in and it never pays out (because it is broken). The House will never lose! I'll make millions! Well at least until the 4 people I hang out with wise up and stop pumping quarters into this bitch. Then I'll have to come up with some new way to make my fortune.

Despite it being late October, the weather was still quite tolerable (at least for your Friendly Neighborhood Iceman). As long as the temperature is above 50 degrees Fahrenheit, I will always drive with the top down on my convertible. There is something so freeing and beautiful about doing this that makes me never regret the day I chose a convertible as my method of transportation. This was a perfect night as I made my way to New Richmond. When I got there I stopped at Lumberjack Liquors so that I could get the party started, Paul Bunyan Style. Go big or go home. He always did. So did Babe, his big blue Ox. What kind of man would I be if I did it any other way?

My Dad has been living in New Richmond, WI for the past 4 years or so. He purchased a house in Wisconsin Dells and would be moving there next month (November of 2016). I promised him that I would help him move, so I took off of work for a week and decided to make an adventure out of it. What follows over these pages eventually became a Rage for Timmy event as I ended up at Afterglow. But before then I had to say goodbye to Korben Dallas (and leave him for the longest time ever as I would be away from him) and begin the 5-hour twilight drive up I94 West. I had the top down as I road tripped with my Monkey (as the Green Bay Packers would be playing on Sunday).

My Dad's New Richmond House is across the street from a cemetery, so I played Ghosts in the Graveyard when I got there at night. When I woke up in the morning, I checked in with the dead to see if any of them were not too hung over to play it again. I offered them doughnuts and coffee as a way to entice them into to playing the game, but no fish were biting today. That's OK though, as I shouldn't be tempting the dead with childish games anyway. I ate some doughnuts and to build up some energy to help my Dad move his stuff into a storage unit.

I knew that it was fall, but I didn't expect the trees to just throw up all over the yard. Look pal - we've all had our bad days, so I get it. But that doesn't mean I just regurgitate all that I have onto the surroundings. Settle down tree. Act like you've been there before.
