TJ + Megan's Wedding in Las Vegas - Day 3

Look at me. I'm such a mess. But if there is any town in the World where it is acceptable to be a mess, it is jolly old Las Vegas. This place is filled with people just like me who wake up in the morning and try to figure out just what the hell happened last night.

Hurricane Iceman slammed into town last night and this is what is left in its' wake. I woke up this morning to find my clothes and money strewn everywhere on the floor with a half eaten beef jerky. I felt like complete shit and Brodey summed it up best, "I feel like the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz when the winged monkeys jump on him and tear him apart." Well said Brodey. I was barely alive. But I was alive enough for the rehearsal.

The wedding was tomorrow night so naturally we had the rehearsal today. I took some time away from worshipping at the porcelain throne to show up and do my duty as one of the Groomsmen. I was near death and needed to lie down for like 2-3 days. I was barely coherent at the rehearsal but I promised TJ that I would be sober for the wedding. He was giving me enough dirty looks that I just had to say something. This morning is a blur. When I got up to the outdoor patio at The Platinum Hotel, all I was looking for was a garbage can in case I needed to throw up. But instead I found the dress rehearsal of a ceremony to unite a man and his wife in holy matrimony. Life is pretty crazy sometimes man.

After the rehearsal we went down to TJ and Megan's room, which was a suite complete with kitchen and everything. I wasn't able to fully appreciate it because the whole World was still spinning around my head. I laid down on the couch or the floor and tried to drink water and sober up. Eventually this happened. When I was finally ready to stand up I ate a slice of pizza and walked out onto the balcony and took in the sights. Behind what used to be The Imperial Palace (now The Quad) they are building a giant Ferris Wheel. This thing is going to be massive folks. Just look at where the center of the wheel will be. When you are on top of this bitch you will be really high up there. I mean like reeeeeeeaaaaaalllllly high. I'd like to see it when it is done someday. But only from the ground pal.

From this picture it doesn't look like we are too far from the Strip but remember that in a town like Las Vegas, appearances can be deceiving. And also from up here everything looks like a stone's throw away. It isn't. And I don't even know what that means.
