Brewers Game at Wrigley Field

Even though I dislike the Cubs, I like the fact that their fans were loyal to the team and wore Cubs apparel from head to toe. If you are a fan and didn't arrive in proper attire, you can easily buy some from one of the many street vendors that set up shop around the stadium.

After winning game 1 (and embarrassing the Cubs in their home opener), the Brewers lost games 2 and 3 of the series. Today's game was a doozy, as Carlos Zambrano pitched 7 innings of 1-hit baseball, batting 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's. Great for them, bad for me. Boo Cubbies.
One of the things that I thought was really cool was that they displayed the team, state and city flag of the opposing team. It was comforting to see some familiar colors flying overhead. Gave me that nice warm feeling of home.
These girls worked for a cheap Illinois Onion knock-off called The Heckler. They were handing out free copies, and asked if I wanted one. so I told them I didn't need one cause in Milwaukee we have the Onion. They were upset and walked away. Who's the Heckler now ladies?
Mike and the gang finally arrived, and thankfully I had other Brewer fans to protect me as I endured glares of hatred from the Chicago natives. I exaggerate a bit, for all of the fans were actually really cool, unlike when they invade Miller Park for Brewers games.
I figured that today would be one heck of a game, with my man and Brewers ace Ben Sheets on the mound. I was expecting little to no offense from either side, but it was not the case when Sheets got rocked for 8 hits and 4 earned runs (including a home run) over 7 innings.
We had some pretty good seats on the 200 level (first deck on the 1st base side) and tried our best to enjoy the game. There really wasn't much to cheer about (Russell Branyan was the only Brewer to get a hit, and no Brewer made it past 1st base) so I spent most of my time checking out the stadium. And goofing around and making funny faces with Mike.
