Team XIC 5, posing for a pre-Ice Carting picture. From right to left, Scott (Iceman), Ryan, and New Guy. It was New Guy's first time Ice Carting.

That night it really was Xtreme Ice Carting, for it had just snowed, and the ground was slippery and icy. Ryan decided to do the test run, and surprisingly did quite well.

New Guy started out on the bunny hill, being the Ice Carting rookie. He performed quite well, suggesting that he's down this sort of thing before.

New Guy takes off on the cart like a seasoned pro, leaving me and Ryan to wonder why he didn't come along for Ice Cartings 1-4.

Though good on the cart, he is still a rookie, and rookie's make mistakes. He underestimated the slippery terrain and had to ditch from the cart to avoid a crash.

Ryan takes off down the big hill, and half rolls half slides down. The hill was so icy and slushy that it was possible to slide down the hill several feet without the cart.

I finally give it a go, and have trouble staying on the cart on account of the slippery conditions. The snow did not allow the shoes to properly grip the metallic floorboard of the ice cart.
