After swimming (which sobers you up really quick is you happen to swallow a lot of the lake water) I needed to go back to the cabin for a refill and some food. It was nearing dinner time, which is always an excuse to drink because you almost always order a drink with dinner.

I am fortunate that my brother James is always looking out for my best interests. When I got back to the cabin, he was already pouring drinks, and it would be rude of me to refuse one after he went to such great efforts to entertain his guests. What a gracious host.

I don't know what Tim is doing here, but I'm guessing that it had some purpose. Judging by the way that the afternoon had went, I'm also guessing that he doesn't know what he is doing in this picture. Truth be told, only God knows just what the heck is going on here.

Jenny entered the room and immediately was welcomed with a mug of whatever it was that we were drinking. You might look down on our behavior, but this is out opportunity to get drunk and not have to worry about driving home or showing up on time to work the next morning. For working Joe's like James and I, this is a blessing.

Home

One thing that we almost always do is follow a swim in the big pool with a nice relaxing soak in the little pool. Actually, it's never that relaxing because we cram all of the cousins (plus adopted family members like Kevin and Beege) into the hot tub all at once. We always get yelled at because we don't obey the maximum occupancy limit and don't follow posted noise or safety rules.

We went swimming, which usually constitutes us going out to the raft and hanging out but not necessarily jumping off any of the boards. Brian said that he was too tired to swim back to shore, so I gave him a lift for free, which was payback from all of the times when he ran back to our cabin to grab me a beer over the last few years.

I bought this shirt from a guy in the parking lot at Kaufman Stadium in Kansas City, and judging by this picture, I am partying like everyone else did in '82. If I partied like I did in '82 (when I was 1 year old) I would be in a highchair with a bib and cake on my face.

Did I ever mention that my family loves chips? Put a bowl of chips and dip in front of our faces and we'll all sit at the table until it is all finished. See, Tim makes this onion dip that is a family recipe that will blow your socks off and instantly make you want more. It's some rather addicting and powerful stuff.
