Afterglow 2015 - Day 5 Wednesday

They call Wednesday "Hump Day". It is regarded as the the midpoint of a typical working week. If you made it to Wednesday, then you are halfway to the weekend. This sentiment only works back home when you are stuck in a 9 to 5 job. When you are at Afterglow, you are definitely not looking forward to the weekend because that means you have to go back home. But none of that was on our minds right now as we laid out on the beach soaking up the sun. At Afterglow you truly exist in the moment and nothing else matters.
If you have a great idea and pursue it to the fullest, eventually you will have other people who buy into that idea and decide to join you in whatever adventures result from it. As you can see, Stacy, Jesses and Brian joined me in the lake and I was alone no longer. While I did enjoy the peace and serenity of the lake on this day, something this beautiful is meant to be shared. I was thrilled to have them share this moment.
But as good as it feels, you can't lay out on the beach forever. Lady Afterglow always calls out our names and we go running towards her because we are two single dudes looking for some action. And Lady Afterglow has been known to give it up from time to time. Kevin and I swam out to a comfortable spot and then climbed up to the heavens so that we could plunge back down to the depths again. We've been there before and we will be there again. It feels good. It feels very good. Why do you think we keep on going back time and time again? I suppose that it was destiny that we met in the first place and it is a love story that will keep on going long after we both have passed.

Never underestimate the healing powers of a hot tub. It has a unique ability to cure all ails and rejuvenate the mind and body so that they are free to rage again all day, every day. This was an absolutely perfect day. So perfect that it makes me wonder why no one was out in the water. Why would you waste a perfect day like this by doing something else? But one person's trash is another person's treasure, as I was able to get this incredible day all to myself. From where I was standing, it was just me and Afterglow Lake. I decided to make the most of it by taking a kayak out on the calm waters to experience what it felt like to be topside of this lake. And it felt great. It always does.
