Afterglow 2015 - Day 4 Tuesday

If you are a member of the Superior Club (which we are), then they treat you like high rollers by feeding you $1 drinks. Today the $1 drinks were some kind of neon green goodness and I didn't ask what was in them. They told me what the drink was called, but I called it a hammacher schlemmer (after the famed mail-order catalog). I doubt I went home with money in my pocket because I already won here in May. Lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice. Not even in the Northwoods of Upper Michigan.

We always plan a night to visit the casino in nearby Watersmeet, MI (about 20 miles North of Afterglow) to hopefully steal from the Indians like a modern day Christopher Columbus. This year it happened to be Tuesday night because Curtis was (sadly) going back home tomorrow. So Brian, Kevin and I piled in the back of his car (which Susie riding shotgun) while Stacy, Jesse and Tommy raged it in the other car. There is no way that this night ends well. These hooligans can be trusted anywhere and especially not at this joint.
I don't know who this mystery road beverage belonged to and I don't care to ask what was in it. When one is trying to continue the rage well into the night, it is best not to ask questions and instead just go with it. We were entering a pantheon of wealth and greed, and we needed to make sure that we were in the proper mindset to ignore it. Plus you should always go in with an open mind to free your wallet from the oppression of your everyday life and restraints. That is the only way to walk out of this Godforsaken place with a little scratch in your pocket.

When Kevin and I were up here in May, we visited this casino and came up with a winning formula. Tonight we decided to try something different and it ended up working out (just not as good as the last time). We decided to combine our money like a recently married couple and split the profits. When we cashed out the ticket, we considered that a divorce. I don't know why this relationship ended on such a rocky path, but given all that we have been through, we should have seen it coming. Relationships (like slot machines) are completely random and unpredictable. There are times when you make it up as you go along and you just have to deal with it. If you play it right, you end up with a couple extra dollars in your pocket.
