More Miller Park Silliness

Back in October we had a year end party for all of the Miller Park employees, and it was held at Helfaer Field, that little league field built where County Stadium once stood. That party was sweet, I goofed around in the ballpark, sat in the dugout, ate some good food, and oh yeah, won a TV. There was a raffle, and everyone wins something, but most people get something stupid, but my numbers were called and I won the TV pictured below. Well, being me, I just had to take a picture of myself with it, which also adorned my desktop for a long stretch of time. It was a lot of fun, I really did like that job...

Helfaer Field, with Miller Park looming behind it. Both well constructed ballparks. I still wish that they put a retractable roof on the little league ballpark. Now that would be really cool. If I grow up to be a multi-millionaire, my home will have a retractable roof on it, just because. I'll probably never use it.

Me and the TV that I cherish so much these days. I've spent many lonely nights with only this beauty to comfort me, and it has been my rock of strength during these troubling times. Ah hell, what am I talking about? It's just a damn TV set.

Really wish that could be a beer in my hand, but despite the stadium being named Miller Park, there were no alcoholic beverages available to drink. So I settled for the next best thing; nature's candy - Mountain Dew - the drink of the Keebler Elves.

This one could be a post card. I should try and sell it to the city or the Brewers for lots of money, so that I can build that retractable roof I'll never use.

The closest I'll ever get to professional sports - "riding the pine" at a little league ballpark. But not just any one, the best damn ballpark in the best damn city in the world. Heh heh. Yeah...

The site where County Stadium's home plate stood. I really wanted to get this picture, but there was this family sitting at that picnic table, so when they finally walked out of the frame, I had one shot, for my batteries were nearly dead. Thankfully, it turned out.
