South Carolina 2011 - The House (Reprise)

The office/den/space for a blow-up mattress has a very nautical color to it and could use a little more variation to make you feel like you are indeed under the sea. But it still is a good spot to check fantasy football stats, emails and to pay your bills online. That's all you need.

The last time that I was down here (in November of 2010) they were still living in an apartment. If you haven't realized yet then let me clear it up for you now - they bought a house. These pictures of their house were taken for me to show my Mom what it looked like but I decided to share them with you as well. The picture below this is of the guest bedroom and it has a nice tropical them. The bathroom does as well. Do I like it? Hell yeah I do. I love palm trees and shit.

I'm guessing that this is the formal dining room. As of right now they don't have a dining room table to eat a formal dinner on, so it just sits bare with the exception of a lone palm tree. Someday when they start a family they will need it, but for now it sits unused.

The Master Bedroom seemed a little bare as it only contained a bed, dresser and closet. There also was a bathroom in there but I didn't dare use it because I was afraid of fouling it up with my stench. This just got weird. I'm going to pretend that I didn't say that and move on.

The living room is very nice although I question the TV placement high up on the wall. But then again, where the hell else would you put it? The fireplace really messes with the entertainment aspect of the room but adds to the aesthetic enjoyment. So I guess it's a wash then. There was plenty of other things to be happy about in here like the L-shaped couch and the recliner. So this room has that going for it I guess.

Since it is just James + Melissa (with Baya hovering for handouts) they eat all their meals at the kitchen table built for two. They have a pretty nice kitchen but what do I know? I'm not an interior designer on one of those home makeover shows. I'm just a guy.
