Afterglow - Rage for Timmy II: The Secret of the Ooze

My Dad travels a lot both for and not just for business. When he can bring along his dogs he will. Seated on top of the couch on the left is P Baby (Percy), in the middle we have Lou (Buffy) and on the right is Scrappy (Trixie). As you can see I have given them all nicknames.

That was in no way a slight towards my pops. I love my Dad. He has done so much for me over the years but this trip was just... different. The only thing that made this consistent with the other trips is that Kevin was here with me. So at least I had some sense of "normalcy."

Afterglow changes from season to season. That is to be expected. It's science. Or Mother Nature's cruel hand stirring the pot. I don't know. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. So I'm only qualified to say that the people make Afterglow what it is.

I'm always taken aback at the difference between the summers and spring/fall up here at Afterglow. I almost don't want to come up here during the other seasons because it's just not the same. The best thing about Afterglow Lake Resort is the lake itself, and if it is too cold to spend time in the lake then what else is there to do up here? Sure we can still rage and start fires and stuff, but the lake is still the biggest draw.

My Dad and his wife Kathy had run off into town or something so Kevin and I were left behind to nurse our hangovers and look after the dogs. Calling this adventure The Secret of the Ooze was Jenny's idea but she wasn't to make it this weekend. With my busy schedule in the summer (thanks to my job at Miller Park) I'm very limited to what I can do and this last weekend in April was the only time I could do it. That's ok though because I'm sure she will come along with us this fall we will do Afterglow RFT 3: The Bee's Knees. But today Kevin and I were trying to deal with the dogs both inside (P, Lou and Scrappy) and outside (Beauregard or Linwood or whatever its' name was). It was too much to deal with.

Ok so I personally didn't come up with all of their names. Timmy was the one who first called Buffy "Lou" when he tough talked her one day. So that is what I called her. I'm sure that Kevin does the same thing but I know for certain that he does like this little pooch.

Percy P and Lou switched places between the beach and dock like the changing of the guards. I don't know why they both couldn't occupy the same space unless they are the same dog, one from the future and one from the past, and by occupying the same space would disrupt the space-time continuum and destroy the entire Universe. That probably isn't the case because with all due respect, these dogs are too stupid to be scientists capable of mastering time travel. Now Doc Brown's Einstein or Copernicus? Those were some smart dogs who could do wonders.
