San Francisco & Michelle's Wedding - Day 4

When we checked into the hotel this morning, I looked out the window. And although it didn't offer stunning views of downtown or the Bay, it did give me the most wonderful view of all (once I leaned over and looked down an alley) - the golden arrow of In-N-Out Burger. This is my favorite restaurant of all-time and is only in a few states (Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Utah). So I'm excited when I get to have it.

After I ate dinner we really didn't know what to do next. We left the hotel and walked around hoping to find something to occupy our time. Despite this being the heart of the tourist area and mid Summer, everything was closed. It was a Sunday night after all. So we just went Down by the Bay (but not the one where the watermelon grows) and sat out on the benches. There wasn't much to do or see, but still Jenny and I had a good time. And why not? As long as I have Jenny Reck by my side, I will always have the best time ever.

This day was drawing to a close, so we grabbed another Uber and rolled back to the Holiday Inn in Fisherman's Wharf. Along the way we were treated to some of the sights. While these were certainly sights that we have seen before (like Alcatraz and the Bay), it made for a picturesque way to close out the remaining daylight hours. San Francisco is a hell of a town. I love her more every time that I visit.

If In-N-Out Burger existed in Wisconsin, would I love it as much as I do? I can't answer that question now because as of today, it still is a treat that is only available to me when I venture far away from home. I was in love. With a hamburger. But it was more than that because I got caught up in the moment. I could hardly contain myself as I waited for my number to be called, picked up my food and walked back to the hotel. I met back up with Jenny and then we sat with Aunt Linda and Tyler until they decided to call it a night. I can't really say what happened because I was too busy enjoying every savory bite of my 3x3 burger. It was glorious. In so many ways.
