Afterglow 2015 - Day 3 Monday

I think that I have run out of adjectives and ways to describe the evening scenery at Afterglow. But are there ever the right words for something like this? Not any created by human beings. Words necessary for this are not of this Earth. Perhaps we will never know them.

This flower is a pretty good representation of our day. It also does the same for all day, everyday. I can't tell you exactly what it says about our lives because I don't speak flower. At night I think we went down the the downstairs fire pit to hang out. We usually do that on Monday night. I do know that we went up to the KK when the night was coming to an end. I don't think that we stayed that long though because Jimmy's cousin and some other kids were up there (all of them were 18ish years old). I can't hang out with barely legal or underage children. I'm either a bad influence on them or they would be a bad one on me. I didn't want to find out. I then closed out the night by listening to some more of Ready Player One.

We may not win a game, but we lose with style and rage shades. Show me another team who can do that! And while you are showing me things.... SHOW ME POTATO SALAD!

A man needs a best friend. Might as well be a dog. The trick is to get your dog best friend to assist in your photography sessions. Hey - don't those Go Pro cameras come with a headstrap?

Jenny and I entered the Bean Bag Tournament as Bebop & Rocksteady (the Shredder's henchbeasts from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). We do this every year and to no one's surprise, lose in the first round of the tournament. It's not that we aren't good at bags. It's the name. Bebop & Rocksteady never win. The Turtles always defeat them. And so did anyone playing us in bags. But we will return in the next episode!

One of the new features this year is the gas fire pit on the upstairs part of the lodge. You know, towards the gymnasium to the quad. They had to replace a septic tank here and decided that while they were cementing the area, might as well create a gathering place. Aunt Kris, Aunt Carol and Aunt Rose knew this as they sat there and waited for someone (me) to capture the moment.

Aunt Sandy got in on the bags action. And why not? She's always commenting on what her kids/nieces and nephews do for fun, so why shouldn't she have her fun too? After tossing a few rounds, she got a pic with Mrs. Afterglow herself, the lovely Gail Moline. What a day.
