Afterglow 2015 - Day 4 Tuesday

We love "bad weather days" because that means all of the amateurs stay away from the beach and the HD. This gives us free reign of the kingdom and we take full advantage of this opportunity to be ourselves without worrying about the consequences. Kevin and Curtis took care of things from up top while I made sure everything was going smoothly near the shore. It was there that I made sure Mike Wessa knew what was up.

I previously mentioned that Mike Wessa was here, but now you can see that June is up here too. And why not? Afterglow is a place for families, and June has been my 2nd Mom since before I was born. So she was more than welcome to drop by for a bit.

It was literally just us out in the lake. Want to know how I know that? In the next sequence of pictures, try and point out someone who isn't family. You won't be able to do that. We may not own the lake, but we owned the lake on this day at this time. And we enjoyed every single moment of it. One doesn't need pictures to realize that. But it certainly does help, right? You're welcome.

Kevin was rocking a very unusual tan which was a result of sitting down facing the sun for far too long without movement. We call this a "slow your roll" tan. The good thing is that there will be plenty of outside time before we go home for him to even it out. A lot of that time will be spent on the raft, as Stacy, Jesse and Curtis know all too well. These creatures spend almost as much time out here that we do. Almost.

With how many times Jenny has lost/broken/submerged her cell phone, I would think there was no way she would take it out in the kayak to take selfies. Shows what I know. I guess she's used to having to get a new phone every few months.
