Me + Timmy and the Moving Truck

Following the example that the dog set forth, Tim and I were told to sit and stay underneath the truck. Our reward for doing so? Getting the opportunity to hang out with our good buddy Jim Taggart. That truck was so cool, and it was big too. If I sound like a 3rd grader than that is because the entire incident made me feel like a kid again, and standing next to that huge truck made me feel little again.

Taken from down the street in order to gain a better perspective of just how large this truck was in comparison to Tim and I. We were lucky to have it parked in front of our house.

Jim and the moving guy putting away the ramp after all of our stuff had been loaded off of the truck. I can't say enough of how big of a help Jim was in this situation.

The truck guys needed to get directions on how to get to the freeway so they could be on their way, and Tim and I took their places inside the truck. Tim's driving, and I'm riding shotgun. With a thumbs up we non-verbally expressed our glee.

Jim eased into the picture, opening the door and standing next to Tim. Tim was overjoyed to allow his hero to accompany him in a moment that will withstand even time itself.

Finally, Tim and I took turns sitting in the driver's seat, imagining what it would be like to drive a semi truck. I took the opportunity to warn 'Texas Longhorn' of the 'smokies' on westbound I-94. Tim got on the radio and was asking for a '20' on 'REO Speedwagon', but there was no reply. We left the cab of the truck, and bid goodbye to the mover guys, then Jim helped us put away our things. Then we said goodbye to Jim as well, until next time.
